Published Work

Below are some of my favorite scripts that went to air during my 17 months as a news producer at Spectrum News 1. These selections are predominantly composed of my writing, quoting, and editing decisions; both verbal and visual.

This is a followup to my collaborative piece with the Democrat and Chronicle from a month previous. This sequel continues the line of questioning from the first, but focuses more on the election results and future prospects. Voters were sourced, interviewed, and discoursed by myself and several other journalism-majored students at RIT.

This piece is a brief film review of Akira Kurosawa's 1949 police drama, Stray Dog. It was published on Moviequotesandmore.com, which hosts many publicly sourced film reviews.

This piece was primarily written and edited by David Cay Johnston, but I was brought on as a researcher. It is a data-based story that identifies the tax loopholes Donald Trump uses to pay very little income tax.

This was a short listicle I wrote about five campaign promises that Donald Trump had not fulfilled during his four years in office. Despite my being tasked to keep the piece purely neutral, it was heavily edited with lots of added flavor.
